(3)8+ \frac{\sqrt{2x+29} }{3}= 9(3) (multiply both sides by 3)

24+ \sqrt{2x+29}= 27  (move the 24 to the right)

\sqrt{2x+29}=27-24 (subtract)

(\sqrt{2x+29})²= 3²  (square both sides)

2x+29=9 (move the 29 to the other side)

2x=9-29 (subtract)

2x= -20 (divide both sides by 2)

x= -10
