Kevin is 4 times as old as Daniel and is also 6 years older than Daniel. How old is Kevin?

Mathematics
1 answer:
Eduardwww [97]2 years ago
5 0
There are numerous important information's already given in the question. Based on these information's, the answer can be deduced.
Let us assume the age of Daniel = x years
Let us assume the age of Kevin = y years
Then
y = 4x
and
y = x + 6
So
4x = x + 6
4x - x = 6
3x = 6
x = 6/3
   = 2 years
So
Age of Kevin = 4 * 2 years
                      = 8 years

The graph of the step function g(x) = –⌊x⌋ + 3 is shown. What is the domain of g(x)? {x| x is a real number} {x| x is an integer
allsm [11]

Answer:

Option A is correct.

The domain of the g(x) is {x | x is a real number}

Step-by-step explanation:

The graph of the step function: g(x)=-\left \lfloor x \right \rfloor +3

Floor function is defined as the function that gives the highest integer less than or equal to x.

The graph of function: g(x)=-\left \lfloor x \right \rfloor +3  where x is the independent variable as shown below;

Domain of any function is the complete set of possible values of the independent variable

Therefore, the domain of the function g(x) is the set of all real numbers or we can represent this as  {x | x is a real number}.
