Answer: 3(0.28)+0.38 y OR 0.84+0.38y

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Jonathan goes to the store and purchases 3 pencils for $0.28 each, and y number of erasers for $0.38 each.

No. of pencils bough = 3

Rate of each pencil = $0.28

Then , Money( in dollars) spent on pencils = No. of pencils x rate of each pencil.

3\times0.28

Also, No. of erasers = y

Rate of each eraser = $0.38

Then , Money( in dollars) spent on erasers = No. of erasers x rate of each pencil.

y\times0.38=0.38y

Then , the expression that shows how much Jonathan spent ( in dollars)=

Money spent on pencils+Money spent on erasers

= 3(0.28)+0.38 y

= 0.84+0.38y

Hence , the required expression : 3(0.28)+0.38 y OR 0.84+0.38y

Complete table below then write an equation that relates to x and y
kvasek [131]
I think y is always 3 less than x. So for the first blank it would be 3 less than -1, that is -4. That makes the second blank -3. The third -8. And the last, -5.
The equation might be x-3=y
I might be wrong, please tell me if this is correct.

Two basketball teams, the Tigers and the Bears, played several games. The Tigers won the first game by two points. The total num
aleksandrvk [35]

Answer: Tigers = 46     Bears = 44

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x represent the numbers of points scored by the Bears.

then x + 2 is the number of points scored by the Tigers.

Bears + Tigers = Total

  x      +  x + 2  =   90

            2x + 2 =   90

            2x       =    88

              x       =    44

Bears (x) = 44

Tigers (x + 2) = 44 + 2 = 46
