Answer:

234.35 °C

Explanation:

Given data:

Volume of balloon = 125000 mL

Moles of oxygen = 3 mol

Pressure = 1 atm

Temperature = ?

Solution:

Formula:

PV = nRT

P = Pressure

V = volume

n = number of moles

R = ideal gas constant

T = temperature

Volume of balloon = 125000 mL × 1 L /1000 mL

Volume of balloon = 125 L

Now we will put the values:

Ideal gas constant = R = 0.0821 atm.L/mol.K

PV = nRT

T = PV/nR

T = 1 atm × 125 L/  0.0821 atm.L/mol.K × 3 mol

T= 125  /0.2463 /K

T = 507.5 K

K to °C

507.5 K - 273.15 = 234.35 °C

A hydrogen filled balloon has a volume of 8.3 L at 36°C and 751 mmHg. How many moles of hydrogen are inside the balloon?
tamaranim1 [39]

Answer: I think the formula is PV=nRT and I divide both sides by RT, but this is as far as I can get in my equation before I get stumped: (751 mm Hg) (8.3 L)/ (309 K) Can you help?

Evaporation is commonly used to concentrate dissolved solids in a liquid feed stream and produce pure water vapor.
Sergio [31]

Answer:

True

Explanation:

Evaporation is the process by which a substance changes its state from liquid to gas. evaporation occurs at all temperatures but it's rate increases as temperature increases.

Pure water vapour can be produced by evaporation.

As the liquids are removed, the solids present in solution becomes more concentrated.

Name:
Liono4ka [1.6K]

Answer:

1. 505g is the mass of the aluminium.

2. The answer is in the explanation

Explanation:

1. To solve this question we need to find the volume of the rectangle. With the volume and density we can find the mass of the solid:

Volume = 7.45cm*4.78cm*5.25cm

Volume = 187cm³

Mass:

187cm³ * (2.702g/cm³) = 505g is the mass of the aluminium

2. When the temperature of a liquid increases, the volume increases doing the density decreases because density is inversely proportional to volume. And works in the same way for gases because the temperature produce more collisions and the increasing in volume.
