equation of f(x)

point of intersection of f(x) and x axis - (-4,0)

point of intersection of f(x) and y axis - (0,4)

Equation y = x +4

g(x) = f( kx)

= kx +4

g(-2) = -2

-2k +4= -2

-2k = -2 -4

-2k = -6

k= 3

Tim Tradesman had a taxable income of $82,500. He figured his tax from the table.
kakasveta [241]
<span>His earned income level are as follows.

The base amount is $14,138.50

</span><span><span>The amount over $62,450 = $82,500 - $62,450 =$20,050

The amount of tax on the third $20,050 is given by 31% of $20,050 = 0.31 x $20,050 = $6,215.5</span>
(i.e. Multiply line 3 by 31% = $6,215.5)

Total tax = $ 14,138.50 + $6,215.50 = $20,354
(i.e. Add lines 2 and 4 = $</span>20,354)

How do u multiply monimials

Two multiply 2 monomials, you have to multiply the coefficients and add the degrees. For example

2x^2 × 3x^3 =

Circles M and K are congruent, QR is congrent to LN. Find the length of QR
Novosadov [1.4K]

Given QR is congrent to LN and QR = 4x + 2 and LN = x + 7.

So, QR = LN

Hence, we can set up an equation as following:

4x + 2 = x + 7

4x + 2 - x = x + 7 - x Subtract x from each sides.

3x + 2 = 7 By simplifying.

3x + 2 - 2 = 7 - 2 Subtract 2 from each sides.

3x = 5

\frac{3x}{3} =\frac{5}{3} Divide each sides by 3 to isolate x.

So, x=\frac{5}{3}

Next step is to plug in x=\frac{5}{3} in QR = 4x+2 to get length of QR.

So, QR = 4(\frac{5}{3})+2

=(\frac{20}{3})+\frac{2}{1} Since 2 can be written as 2/1.

By multiplying the second fraction by the common denominator 3.

=(\frac{20}{3})+\frac{2*3}{1*3}

=(\frac{20}{3})+\frac{6}{3} By simplifying the second fraction.

=(\frac{26}{3})

So, QR=\frac{26}{3}
