equation of f(x)

point of intersection of f(x) and x axis - (-4,0)

point of intersection of f(x) and y axis - (0,4)

Equation y = x +4

g(x) = f( kx)

= kx +4

g(-2) = -2

-2k +4= -2

-2k = -2 -4

-2k = -6

k= 3

Rewrite this polynomial in terms of its simplest factors using the appropriate method: x3 + x2 − 6x.
Sophie [7]

Answer: GCF = x

Step-by-step explanation:

x(x^3/x + x^2/x + -6x/x)

x(x^2 + -6)

x(x - 2)(x + 3)

A cylinder’s radius is reduced to 2004-06-01-04-00_files/i0480001.jpg its original size and the height is quadrupled. How has th
asambeis [7]
I can't answer this question if we don't know by what scale the cylinder's radius was reduced. Luckily, I found the same problem that says the radius was reduced to 2/5. So, we find the ratio of both volumes.

V₁ = πr₁²h₁
V₂ = πr₂²h₂

where r₂ = 2/5*r₁ and h₂ = 4h₁

V₂/V₁ = π(2/5*r₁ )²(4h₁)/πr₁²h₁= 8/5 or 1.6

<em>Thus, the volume has increased more by 60%.</em>

By what percent will a fraction increase if its numerator is increased by 60% and its denominator is decreased by 20%?
Strike441 [17]
Lets just use \frac{10}{20} for an example. If the number is increased by 60% and the denominator is decreased by 20% we get the new fraction being: \frac{16}{16}. Since then new one is equal to 1, and the original is equal to \frac{1}{2}, we see that this manipulation of the fraction causes an increase of 100%.
