The Better Nutter Butter Co packed 400 lb. of peanut butter into jars holding 2.5 lbs. each. How many jars were used?
Rus_ich [418]

Answer:

160 jars

Step-by-step explanation:

To find how many jars were used, we just need to divide the amount of stuff by the amount of stuff a jar can hold.

400 (the amount of peanut number in pounds) / 2.5 (the amount of peanut butter each jar can hold) = 160.

So, 160 jars were used to package the 400 pounds of peanut butter.

chubhunter [2.5K]

we know that

Francine uses 2/3 cup of pineapple juice for every 1/3 cup of orange juice to make a smoothie

so

by proportion

Find the number of cups of pineapple for one cup of orange juice

\frac{(2/3)}{(1/3)} \frac{cups\ pineapple}{cups\ orange} =\frac{x}{1} \frac{cups\ pineapple}{cups\ orange}\\ \\x*(1/3)=(2/3) \\ \\x=2\ cups\ pineapple

therefore

<u>the answer is</u>

2\ cups\ pineapple\ juice
