In plants, simple sugars are least likely to be linked together to form proteins.

Explanation;
Photosynthesis in plants generates simple sugars; that are either used by plants to generate energy during cellular respiration, or stored by plants in form of starch for future use.
These simple sugars are majorly carbohydrates which include glucose, fructose, and galactose, that are also called monosaccharides. They are the simplest form of carbohydrates and acts as building blocks of other carbohydrates (disaccharides and polysaccharides).
