In a multiple choice exam, there are 5 questions and 4 choices for each question (a, b, c, d). Nancy has not studied for the exa

m at all and decides to randomly guess the answers. What is the probability that:
(a) the first question she gets right is the 5th question?

(b) she gets all of the questions right?

(c) she gets at least one question right?

What is the area under the standard normal distribution for each region?

(a) Z< -1.65

(b) Z>1.5

(c) -1.1

(d) |Z|>1.3

Answer:

a) 0.079

b) 0.001

c) 0.763

Step-by-step explanation:

The probability of answering wrong is 3/4=0.75.

The probability of answering right is 1/4=0.25.

a) The probability that the first question she gets right is the fifth question.

This mean that the first four questions are answered wrong.

Then

P=0.75^4*0.25=0.3164*0.25=0.0791

b) The probability that she gets all of the question right

P=0.25^5=0.001

c) The probability that she gets at least one question right. We can calculate that by substracting from 1 the probability that she gets all wrong.

P=1-0.75^5=1-0.2373=0.7627

Area under the standard normal distribution for each region:

a) P(Z<-1.65)=0.04947

b) P(Z>1.5)=0.06681

c)  P(Z<-1.1)=0.13567

d) P(|Z|>1.3)=0.1936

How is 7 21/25 written as a decimal
aivan3 [116]
 Im pretty sure the answer is 7.84. i got this because 7 is a whole number so it is in the whole number spot. Then, you have to get your denominator to 100. So, what times 25 equals 100? its 4. so you get 100 so whatever you do to your denominator you do to your numerator. so 21 times 4 is 84. so 84/100 is actually 7.84. Hope this helped

Amir has $50 to spend. She wants to buy a CD for $20 and spend the rest on jewelry sets which cost $8 each. Write an inequality
Aleksandr [31]
X = The amount of cd's
Y = Jewelry sets
X + Y = 50
X + 8y<_50
20 + 8Y<_50
Subtract 20 from both sides.
8Y<_30
Divide by 8 on both sides
Y<_3.75 (3 total)
She can buy 3 jewelry sets.

Quadrilateral ABCD has vertices A(-2,4), B(-3.-3), C(-5,-2), D(-5,2). Which of the following are the coordinates of A’ after a d
Gala2k [10]
<h2>Answer:</h2>

\boxed{A'(-5,10)}

<h2>Step-by-step explanation:</h2>

Dilation is when you stretch something by the same amount in two perpendicular directions. In other words, dilation changes size, not overall shape. Dilation factors greater than one makes the shape greater while dilation factors less than one makes the shape smaller. The scale factor in this problem is:

2\frac{1}{2}

Which is a mixed fraction. This can be transformed into an improper fraction as follows:

2\frac{1}{2}=2+\frac{1}{2}=\frac{4+1}{2}=\frac{5}{2}

So the scale factor is \frac{5}{2}. Since the center of dilation is the origin, we just need to multiply each vertex of the quadrilateral by the scale factor. Thus, for A we have:

A'(-2\times \frac{5}{2},4\times \frac{5}{2})=\boxed{A'(-5,10)}
