Answer:

0.2 M.

Explanation:

 • For the acid-base neutralization, we have the role:

The no. of millimoles of acid is equal to that of the base at the neutralization.

∴ (XMV) KOH = (XMV) H₂SO₄.

X is the no. of reproducible H⁺ (for acid) or OH⁻ (for base),

M is the molarity.

V is the volume.

 • For KOH:

X = 1, M = 0.5 M, V = 38.74 mL.

 • For H₂SO₄:

X = 2, M = ??? M, V = 50.0 mL.

∴ M of H₂SO₄ = (XMV) KOH/(XV) H₂SO₄ = (1)(0.5 M)(38.74 mL)/(2)(50.0 mL) = 0.1937 M ≅ 0.2 M.

If 16 moles of al react with 3 moles of S8 how many moles of Al2 S3 will be formed
Gnom [1K]

Answer:

8 moles

Explanation:

Al reacts with S_8 to produce Al_2S_3 as

Al+S_8\rightarrow Al_2S_3

The balanced chemical equation is

16Al+3S_8\rightarrow 8Al_2S_3

In the reaction, 16 moles of Al react with 3 moles of S_8 to produce 8 moles of Al_2S_3.

Calculate the molality of a solution prepared by dissolving 175 g of KNO3 in 750 g of water. (round to nearest hundreth)
Wittaler [7]
We will get the molality from this formula:
Molality = no.of moles of solute / Kg of solvent

So first we need the no.of moles of KNO3 = the mass of KNO3 / molar mass of KNO3
no.of moles of KNO3 = 175 / 101.01 = 1.73 mol
By substitution in the molality formula:
∴ molality = 1.73 / (750/1000) = 2.3 Molal
