Which two things happen during gas exchange in an animal? A. Oxygen moves from blood vessels into the lungs. B. Carbon moves fro
umka2103 [35]

Answer:

Options B and D

Explanation:

In animals, gaseous exchange takes place in the alveoli in the lungs. Generally, animals breath-out (exhale) carbon dioxide and breath-in (inhale) oxygen. Thus, carbon moves from the blood in the form of carbon dioxide into the alveoli in the lungs while the oxygen inhaled moves from the alveoli in the lungs to the blood where it is transported round the body as oxyhaemoglobin.

What is one likely long-term consequence of gang involvement
yan [13]
HI There Lizzie!

A. Having support from your family: this is a good thing to do. not what gangs do. Gangs let you do dangerous things, for example Hazing.

B. Spending time in jail: This is what gangs mostly like to get after doing bad things. Yet, they could sometimes spend their whole life depending what or how cruel they did. This can or could be the place for them where everything ends. Even their life.

C. Getting a good job: This is also a good thing, getting a good job is part of your life career. Again, Gangs are mean and bad people. What they do is like steal, kidnap, hazing, killing, etc.

D. Avoiding a police record: Well, this is good to do. You don't wanna end up being in jail. You try to do good stuff to keep getting out of police/criminal records.

Well, as you can see, A,C, and D are good things that people do. B is the only left. And is explained why. Gangs, are basically you know, people who are bad, stealing, killing kidnapping, hazing, etc. They are groups of bad people. That's why a single person of a Gang is called "Gangster".

Your answer is B.

Why do both high levels and very low levels of insulin lead to increased eating?.
abruzzese [7]

Both high levels and very low levels of insulin lead to increased eating because little glucose is reaching the cells to be used as fuel.

How do insulin levels affect apatite?

Cells will absorb too much glucose from the blood if a person's insulin level rises over what is necessary, such as when they spend more energy than expected or eat less than they had planned. An abnormally low blood glucose level (hypoglycemia) results from this . As a response to hypoglycemia, the body releases liver-stored glucose in an effort to restore normal blood sugar levels. Elevated insulin levels result in greater appetite, enhanced enjoyment of sweet tastes, and higher food intake.

Type 1 diabetics either produce very little insulin or none at all. This illness is brought on by the beta cells' inability to produce insulin due to antibody destruction (antibodies are typically molecules the body releases to fight infections). High blood glucose levels result from the body's inability to transport glucose from the blood into the cells when there is insufficient insulin in the body. If the glucose is not reaching the cells, the person will eat more.

I understand the question you are looking for is this:

Why do both high levels and very low levels of insulin lead to increased eating?

 1. Glucose leaves the blood to be stored as fat.
 2. Fat supplies are being rapidly converted to glucose.
 3. Activity of the taste buds is directly enhanced.
 4. Little glucose is reaching the cells to be used as fuel.
