Answer:

first six terms are<u> -4, 3, 10, 17, 24 ,31</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

The given first term and recurrence relation is a_1 = -4, \; a_n = a_{n-1} +7

we need to find first six term of this recurrence relation

a_1 = -4

put n=2 in a_n = a_{n-1} +7

a_2 = a_{2-1} +7

a_2 = a_1 +7

since, a_1 = -4

a_2 = -4 +7

a_2 = 3

similarly,

for n=3

a_3 = a_{3-1} +7

a_3 = a_2 +7

since, a_2 = 3

a_3 = 3 +7

a_3 = 10

For n=4

a_4 = a_{4-1} +7

a_4 = a_3 +7

since, a_3 = 10

a_4 = 10 +7

a_4 = 17

For n=5

a_5 = a_{5-1} +7

a_5 = a_4 +7

since, a_4 = 17

a_5 = 17 +7

a_5 = 24

For n=6

a_6 = a_{6-1} +7

a_6 = a_5 +7

since, a_5 = 24

a_6 = 24 +7

a_6 = 31

Hence, first six terms are<u> -4, 3, 10, 17, 24 ,31</u>

a_n=a_{n-1}+7\\\\a_1=-4\\a_2=-4+7=3\\a_3=3+7=10\\a_4=10+7=17\\a_5=17+7=24\\a_6=24+7=31

Please help i will give you brainliest and every yhing
Lina20 [59]

first subtract the last equation from the first. this gives:-

-x + y = -8 .....................(1)

Then multiply the first equation by 2 and add it to the 2nd equations This gives

9x = 18

so x = 2

and from equation  (1)  y = -8 + 2 = -6

Substituting for x and y in the second equation

z =  (24 -5(2) -12) / 2 =   1

Answer is choice b.

While shopping at a clearance sale, Samantha finds a $60.00 dress on sale for 25% off. Samantha also has a 50% off coupon. Which
liq [111]

It seems most likely that ...

... Samantha will save $37.50 because she must first find the 25% sale price before taking the extra 50% reduction

_____

In the real world, it seems probable that Samantha will be offered the choice of using the coupon <em>or</em> the sale discount. If she chooses tht 50% coupon, her savings will be $30. If she chooses the marked sale discount, her savings will be $15.

The scenario above assumes she gets 50% off the sale price of $45, so saves $15+22.50 = $37.50 off the original price.
