X ➡ cars 4 wheels
y ➡ motorcycles 2 wheels

4x +2y = 98

x + y = 30
use either substitution or elimination to solve, the answer will be 19 cars and 11 motorcycles.

Car normally has 4 wheeles
motorcycles normall have 2 wheels

c=cars
m=motorcycles

4c+2m=98
c+m=30

multiply second equation by -2 and add to the original equaiton

-2c-2m=-60
4c+2m=98 +
2c+0m=38

2c=38
divide 2
c=19
sub

c+m=30
19+m=30
m=11

11 motorcycles
19 cars

<u>Given</u>:

Two parallel lines are cut by a transversal and form a pair of alternate interior angles.

One angle measures (6x + 5)° and the other measure (7x - 4)°

We need to determine the measure of each angle.

<u>Value of x:</u>

Since, the two angles are alternate interior angles, then the two angles are congruent.

Thus, we have;

6x+5=7x-4

-x+5=-4

      -x=-9

        x=9

Thus, the value of x is 9.

<u>Measure of each angle:</u>

The measure of each angle can be determined by substituting x=9 in the measures of each angle.

Thus, we have;

(6x + 5)^{\circ}=(6(9) + 5)^{\circ}=59^{\circ}

(7x - 4)^{\circ}=(7(9) - 4)^{\circ}=59^{\circ}

Thus, the measure of each angle is 59°

How do u divided 7/11 can u Show the work plz
lys-0071 [83]

Answer: 0.63 repeating

Step-by-step explanation:

Alrighty! So, we're going to be dividing 7/11. First off, we know that 11 cannot go into 7, so we will add a decimal point to the 7. We now have 7.0 (aka 70) divided by 11.Don't forget to add the decimal on top!  How many times does 11 go into seventy? Six times. So, now we put the six on top. Six times 11 equals 66, so now we're doing to subtract 66 from 70. Your answer should be 4. And because we haven't gotten our final answer yet, we will have to add another a 0 to 7.0 (now 7.00) and add the 0 down to 4 aswell (now 40) Now, how many times does 11 goes into 40? 3. So add the 3 on top. 11x3 equals 33, so now we're going to subtract 33 from 40. You should get 7. Like the last time, since we haven't gotten a final answer, we're going to add another 0 to 7.00 (now 7.000) and bring a 0 down. You should now have 70.

Just to help you save some time, if you repeat this process, you will get a repeating decimal ( 0.63636363636363636363636363...) So, your final answer is 0.63 repeating. (Add a line above the 63 to indicate its repeating)

Sorry if this is kinda complicated, I tried my best to explain it!

Jeremiah always rides his bike to and from work. The total
Katen [24]

From the computation done, the total kilometers that he uses last month will be 262.8 kilometers.

The total length of a trip to and from work is 14.6 kilometers and last month, Jeremiah worked 18 days.

Therefore, the kilometers that he rode his bike to and from work last month will be;

= 14.6 × 18.

= 262.8 kilometers.

Simplify the expression and then evaluate it for the given value of the variable:
Natasha_Volkova [10]

Answer:

  • -5x+21
  • 22

Step-by-step explanation:

There are no factors outside the parentheses that need to be distributed, so the parentheses can be simply dropped:

  6 -2x +15 -3x

The terms can be rearranged to put like terms next to each other:

  -2x -3x +6 +15

and the like terms can be combined.

  -5x +21 . . . . simplified expression

__

Put the value of x where x is, then do the arithmetic.

  -5(-0.2) +21 = 1 +21 = 22

a local hamburger shop sold a combined total of 770 burgers and cheeseburgers on Monday there were 70 more cheeseburger sold tha
aliina [53]
Let the number of hamburgers = h

Let the number of cheeseburgers = c

Now we translate the given information into equations.

"combined total of 770 [ham]burgers and cheeseburgers"
h + c = 770

<span>"there were 70 more cheeseburger sold than hamburgers"
</span><span>
</span><span>c = h + 70
</span><span>
</span><span>
</span><span>Our system of equations is
</span><span>
</span><span>
</span><span />h + c = 770
c = h + 70

The second equation is already solved for c, so we replace c of the first equation with h + 70.
h + h + 70 = 770
2h + 70 = 770
2h = 700
h = 350

Answer:  350 hamburgers were sold on Monday.
