What forces act on a ball

Physics
1 answer:
jekas [21]3 years ago

This depends on it's current position. If the ball is at rest on the surface of Earth, then there will be just the force of both Gravity and the contact force preventing it from crushing through the ground. However. If the ball is in motion then other forces maybe present such as Air Resistance and Friction.

A ball is lodged in a hole in the floor near the outside edge of a merry-go-round that is turning at constant speed. Which kinem
dybincka [34]

Answer:

Explanation:

It is given that the ball is lodged in a hole in the floor of merry-go-round that is running at a constant speed.

Now the ball is moving a vertical circular motion

The position of the ball changes w.r.t to the center as it moves in a circular path i.e. vectorially it changes but its magnitude will remain the same.

The velocity of the ball is the same as merry-go-round so its magnitude remains the same but its direction will change continuously.

As the ball is moving in a circular path so a centripetal acceleration will acts towards the center so its value will be continuously changing.

What is the difference between clastic and bioclast?
Grace [21]
The main difference is the source of the sediment that the rock is formed from. Clastic sedimentary rocks are formed mostly from silicate sediment derived by the breakdown of pre-existing rocks. Bioclastic rocks are formed by the accumulation of fragmented organic remains (such as shell-sand) - i.e. the sediment is of biological rather than non-biological origin.
