Answer:

<em>The velocity of sound in the guitar string = 129.99 m/s</em>

Explanation:

Harmonics: A harmonic is a note with frequency equal to an integral multiple of that of the fundamental frequency.

<em>Note:</em> The harmonics of a string is the same as the harmonics of an open pipe.

f₆ = 3v/l ............................ Equation 1

making v the subject of the equation,

v = f₆l/3 ......................... Equation 2

Where f₆ = Is the sixth harmonics of the the string, v = velocity of sound in the guitar string, l = length of the guitar string.

<em>Given: </em>f₆ = 557.14 Hz, l = 70 cm = 0.7 m.

Substituting into equation 2

v = (557.14×0.7)/3

<em>v = 129.99 m/s</em>

<em>Thus the velocity of sound in the guitar string = 129.99 m/s</em>

What will be the acceleration of an 8 kg object when something hits it with an 12 N force?
liraira [26]
\sf Force = mass \times acceleration\\\\12~N = 8~kg \times acceleration\\\\ acceleration =  \frac{12~N}{8~kg} \\\\\boxed {\sf a = 1.5~ \frac{m}{s^2} }

The table below shows the average wind speeds of four hurricanes in Florida
lara31 [8.8K]
Hurricane A. This is because the wind speed of this hurricane is greater than the other hurricanes. The more wind there is in a hurricane the more land and home destruction it’s likely to cause. Hope this helps. :)

Two identical loudspeakers that are 5.00 m apart and face toward each other are driven in phase by the same oscillator at a freq
Lunna [17]

Answer:0.0982 m

Explanation:

Given

distance between two loudspeaker is 5 m

frequency (f )=875 Hz

speed of sound (v)=344 m/s

Let x_0 be the smallest distance moved by observer then

Position of observer w.r.t to first speaker is

x_1=\frac{L}{2}-x_0

Position of observer w.r.t to second speaker is

x_2=\frac{L}{2}+x_0

\Delta x=2x_0

For Destructive interference

\Delta x=\left (  m+\frac{1}{2}\right )\cdot lambda

For minimum m=0

and \lambda =\frac{v}{f}

2x_0=\frac{v}{2f}

x_0=\frac{v}{4f}=\frac{344}{4\times 875}=0.0983 m

When storm clouds produce lightning and thunder, energy changes to energy and energy.
balandron [24]
When storm clouds produce lightening and thunder, then, potential energy changes into kinectic energy.

The clouds become negatively charged,and the ground is positively charged during a storm. So there creates a potential difference between the charged clouds and the ground. And when this becomes huge so much that it over comes the electrical insulation cover of air, the electrons jump to the ground.i.e. the potential energy changes into kinetic energy.
