QUAL 24 km, THE FIRST WALKER OVERCAME AT 2 HOURS FASTER THE SECOND. IF SPEED OF TRAFFIC THE FIRST INCREASE AT 2 km/h, AND THE SECOND AT 1 km/h, THEN AND IN THIS INSTANCE ALL THE WAY THE FIRST WILL OVERCOME AT 2 HOURS FASTER THE SECOND. FIND INITIAL SPEED OF WALKERS.

If the first walker increases speed by two times the speed per hour, and arrives two hours earlier, then his initial speed will be 20 km/h, because after 2 hours, he will have an increase of 4 km/hr, and the second will have an increase of 2 km/h, thereby making the first arrive 2 hours earlier, if that makes sense.

∴ Third = ar² = 1/2 × (4/3)² = 2 × 16/9 = 8/9 ⇒ 3rd > 2nd

∴ Fourth = ar³ = 1/2 × (4/3)³ = 2 × 64/27 = 32/27 ⇒ 4th > 3rd

- From the answers the sequence increases
