Answer:  There are 11 gallons which will be used by him to paint the inside of his barn.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Total number of quarts he needed in all =107

Let the number of quarts he needed for the inside of his barn be x

Let the number of quarts he needed for the outside of his barn be x+19

According to question,

x+x+19=107\\\\2x+19=107\\\\2x=107-19\\\\2x=88\\\\x=\frac{88}{2}\\\\x=44

As we know that

1\text{ gallon}=4\text{ quarts}\\\\so\\\\1\text{ quarts}=\frac{1}{4}\text{ galllon}\\\\44\text{ quarts}=\frac{44}{4}\text{ gallons}=11\text{ gallons}

So, there are 11 gallons which will be used by him to paint the inside of his barn.

An electrician sent Bonnie an invoice in the amount of 'a' dollars for 6 hours of work that was done on Saturday. The electricia
Mazyrski [523]

Answer:

(a-f)/6 = r

Step-by-step explanation:

The total Bonnie must pay is the weekend fee plus the hourly rate times the hours worked

Cost = weekend fee * hourly rate* hours

hours = 6

weekend fee =f

hourly rate = r

Cost = a dollars

Substituting in what we know

a = f+ 6r

We want to solve for r

Subtract f from each side

a-f =f-f +6r

a-f = 6r

Divide each side by 6

(a-f)/6 = 6r/6

(a-f)/6 = r
