As each electron is removed, one at a time, from an atom of aluminum, more ionization energy is required. Between which two succ

When electrons  are removed one at a time, it is expected that the electron at the outermost shell that is farthest to the nucleus is the one that is easily removed among the others. This is because it experiences the least attraction from the nucleus. However, when the electron to be removed gets closer to the center, it is harder to remove then because of the stronger attraction caused by the distance.

The reason for such a condition is that the electrons in the outermost shell of an atom have the least attraction from the nucleus of the atom. This is because it is the farthest from the nucleus. As electrons are removed from inner shells, it requires more energy because the attraction force of the nucleus is greater. I hope the answer has helped you.

If a candy bar contains 345 Calories, how many calories is this?
Arisa [49]

Answer: 345,000 calories

Explanation:

Calories in food such as candy bars refer to the amount of energy that the food has. Calories are also called Kilocalories because they are the equivalent of 1,000 calories.

If the candy bar contained 345 calories therefore, and 1 Calorie is 1,000 calories, the calories in the candy bar are:

= 345 * 1,000

= 345,000 calories

What is the volume of 0.200 mol of an ideal gas at 200 kPa and 400 K? A. 0.83 L B. 3.33 L C. 5.60 L D. 20.8 L
amid [387]
Since it is stated that it is an ideal gas, we use the ideal gas equation to solve the volume of this gas sample. The ideal gas equation is expressed as:

PV = nRT
V = nRT / P
V = 0.200 (8.314) (400) / 200x10^3
V = 3.33 x 10^-3 m³ or 3.33L

Therefore, the correct answer is option B.

How many grams of lithium are in 1.25 x 10^26 atoms of Li?
NeX [460]

Mass of Lithium = 1443.73 g ≈ 1.4 kg

<h3>Further explanation  </h3>

The mole is the number of particles(molecules, atoms, ions) contained in a substance

1 mol = 6.02.10²³ particles

Can be formulated

N=n x No

N = number of particles

n = mol

No = Avogadro's = 6.02.10²³

The number of atoms of Li = N=1.25 x 10²⁶

mol Li(n) :

\tt n=\dfrac{N}{No}\\\\n=\dfrac{1.25\times 10^{26}}{6.02\times 10^{23}}\\\\n=2.08\times 10^2

mass Li (Ar=6.941 g/mol)

\tt mass=mol\times Ar\\\\mass=208\times 6,941\\\\mass=1443.73~g
