Answer: Adhesion

When a blood vessel ruptured, it will expose the collagen fiber into platelet. Platelet can adhere to the collagen fibers. This step is called adhesion.

After a while, it will be activated and slowly accumulate making a clot. This clot will slow the blood flow and might become a plug.

The acidic chyme entering small intestine is neutralized by the bile.
MrRa [10]

Once food is in the small intestine, it stimulates the pancreas to release fluid containing a high concentration of bicarbonate. This fluid neutralizes the highly acidic gastric juice, which would otherwise damage the membrane lining of the intestine, resulting in a duodenal ulcer.

Hope it Helped.

What do we get out of the process of meiosis? How does that help increase diversity in a species?
ValentinkaMS [17]

Answer: By the end of meiosis, the resulting reproductive cells, or gametes, each have 23 genetically unique chromosomes. The recombination of chromosomes creates genetic diversity by allowing genes from each parent to intermix, resulting in chromosomes with a different genetic complement.
