I would write 7/8 as a rate per 100 by first scaling 7/8 down to 3.5/4 and then multiplying it by 25. Then, I would get 87.5, my answer

First we will find 7/8 as a decimal. To do this we will DIVIDE the numerator by the denominator.

7 ÷ 8 = 0.875.

Now all we do is:-

0.875 per 100.

Hope I helped ya!!

The length of a rectangle is 2 cm less than it’s width.If the area of the rectangle is 35 cm^2,find the width
Elan Coil [88]

Answer:

7cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Area = Length x width

A = 35

w= L - 2

L = w+ 2

Now it becomes

35 = ( w+2) x w

35 = w^2 + 2w

W^2 + 2w - 35 = 0

By Factorization we have

( w + 7)( w-5)

w = 5cm

Since L = w + 2, we have

L = 5 + 2

= 7cm

If (k,6k) and (3k,10k) are two points on the graph of a line and K is not equal to 0, what is the slope of the line?
Nataliya [291]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

slope = y2-y1/x2-x1

Given the coordinates (k,6k) and (3k,10k)

x1 = k

y1 = 6k

x2 = 3k

y2 = 10k

Substitute

slope = 10k-6k/3k-k

slopw = 4k/2k

slope = 4/2

slope  = 2

Hence the slope of the line is 2

For this case we have to:

Lewis carries 2 liters of water

Garret carries 1 liter of water

So, Lewis has 1 liter of water more than Garret.

By definition we have that 1 liter equals 1000 milliliters.

Thus, Lewis carries 1000 milliliters more water than Garret.
