In dog waste, there is a chemical called fecal coliform bacteria. this bacteria is harmful to plants and animals alike, if this compost was used on plants, eating the plants would be bad news. the bacteria can cause cramps, diarrhea, intestinal illnesses, and even serious kidney issues in people. dog poop mostly carries these things

pet droppings contribute to diseases spread from animals to people called zoonoses, using the pet poop in the compost can make the bacteria linger for years, making further crops infected too.
