how do the graphs of f(x) = sin x and g(x) = sin2x+3 compare. Must make two selections of the following that apply.
Elena L [17]

Answer:

The correct options are:

  • g(x) is shifted three units higher than f(x).
  • g(x) has a period that is half the period of  f(x).

Step-by-step explanation:

We have to compare the graphs of the function:

f(x)=\sin x

and g(x)=\sin 2x+3

We have to select the correct options among the following:

As we know that the period of sine function is 2π.

i.e. Period of function f(x) is: 2π.

The period of sin(2 x) is π.

Hence, the period of the function g(x) function is π.

  • Hence, the period of g(x) is half the period of f(x).
  • Also we could observe that g(x) is shifted 3 units upward.

How do i solve this using a mathematical operation?
Alexxandr [17]
All angles of a triangle *always* equal to 180*. R=120 and two angles on a flat line also equal to 180. So, *180-120=60*. So *60+60+60*, all the angles of the triangle, equals to 180. So angle x=60.

Write the following using algebraic notation, using the letter x for any unknown numbers:
Furkat [3]

Answer:

a) The  algebraic notation is     4 ( x -3 ) = 4x -3

b)  The algebraic notation is 2x +2

Step-by-step explanation:

<u><em>Explanation:-</em></u>

a)

Let 'x' be the number

Given 'x' is a number, subtract three

⇒ x - 3   and multiply '4'

The result of algebraic is     4 ( x -3 ) = 4x -3

b)

<em>Let 'x' be a number and add one</em>

⇒ (x+1) and then double

∴ The algebraic notation is

    (x+1 ) (2) = 2x +2

I need help with geometry

T= 34

Explanation

So measure t equals measure s also since it’s a isosceles triangle!

Then we combine all the equations together and set it equal to 180 because every triangle is 180°.

3x-2 + 3x-2 + 9x+4 = 180

Now we combine like light terms

3x + 3x + 9x -2 -2 +4 = 180

15x= 180

Now that we simplify the equation we solve for x

15x/15= 180/15. Divide both sides by 15

X= 12

The problem ask what the measure of t is so we plug the 12 into the equation to find the measure

3x-2= 3(12)-2

36-2= 34

So the measure of t is 34°

Using f(x) = x-2 and g(x) = 5x+3, find f(g(-4)).<br><br> f(g(-4)) =
Andrews [41]

Answer:

  • -19

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Given:</u>

  • f(x) = x-2 and g(x) = 5x+3

<u>Find g(-4) first:</u>

  • g(-4) = 5(-4) + 3 = -20 + 3 = -17

<u>Now find f(-17):</u>

  • f(-17) = -17 - 2 = -19
