1.5 = 1 1/2 = 3/2
When there is a negative exponent, you find the reciprocal of the base, so therefore: 3/2 ^ -2 = 2/3 ^ 2
Then you square the numerator, then square the denominator: 2^2/3^2 = 4/9

Answer:

A= 75.06 Sq Cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Please refer to the picture attached with this.

In ΔABD

AB = 8.5 , AD = 6 and say BD = x

Applying Pythagoras theorem in this triangle

Pythagoras theorem says

a^2+b^2=c^{2}

where c is the side opposite to the right angle, and b and a are the other two sides of the right angled triangle.

x^2+6^2=8.5^{2}

x^2=72.25-36

x^2=36.25

x=6.02

Hence side a = x +19

a = 6.02+19

a = 25.02

Now we apply the formula for area of a triangle which is given as

A=\frac{1}{2}\times b \times h

Where b is the base , here we have base as a = 25.02

h is the height , here h = 6

Putting these values in Formula we get

A=\frac{1}{2}\times 25.02 \times 6

A= 25.02 \times 3

A=75.06

Hence Area of the triangle is 75.06 sq cm

I wanna know: [3,5]={3,4,5}? Why?
Agata [3.3K]

Answer:

Yes if [3,5] is a set of integers then it contains elements 3,4,5

As Closed bracket denotes that extreme points are also included and 4 is mid element in between 3 and 5

The length of a rectangular poster is 2 more inches than three times its width. The area of the poster is 33 square inches. Solv
laiz [17]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of the rectangle = 33 inches sq

Area of a rectangle (formula) = l*b

let the width be x

length = 2 inches + 3x = 2+3x

Area of the rectangle = l*b = 2+3x + x

33 inches sq = 2+3x + x

33 in sq = 2+4x

33/2 = 4x

16.5/4 = x

x = 4.125

width= 4.125 inches

length = 2+3x = 2+3(4.125) = 14.375

(unless your poster is 32 sq inches and you made a mistake, just replace 33 with 32 and solve it)

nlexa [21]
For question number 1:The plot H = H(t) is the parabola and it reaches its maximum in the moment when exactly at midpoint between the roots t = 0 and t = 23. At that moment t = 23/2 or 11.5 seconds.
For question number 2:To find the maximal height, just simply substitute t = 11.5 into the quadratic equation. The answer would be 22.9.
For question number 3:H(t) = 0, or, which is the same as -16t^2 + 368t = 0.Factor the left side to get -16*t*(t - 23) = 0.t = 0, relates to the very start of the process, when the ash started its way up.The other root is t = 23 seconds, and it is precisely the time moment when the bit of ash will go back to the ground.
