Answer:

Medium pizza is 62.83 square inches greater than smaller pizza.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Diameter of smaller pizza = 8 inch

Diameter of medium pizza = 12 inch

We need to find how much greater in area is medium pizza than the small pizza.

Solution:

First we will find the are of both the pizza;

Now we know that;

Radius = \frac12 Diameter

Radius of Smaller pizza = \frac12\times8 =4 \ in.

Radius of Medium pizza= \frac12\times12 =6 \ in.

Now pizza is in circular shape so we will apply area of circle to find the area of the pizza.

Area of circle is π times square of the radius.

framing in equation form we get;

Area of Smaller Pizza = \pi \times 4^2= 16 \pi= 50.265\ in^2

Area of Medium Pizza = \pi \times 6^2= 36\pi = 113.097\ in^2

Now to find Difference we will subtract Area of Smaller Pizza from Area of Medium Pizza.

So we can say that;

Difference = 113.097-50.265 = 62.832\ in^2

Rounding to nearest hundred we get;

Difference = 62.83\ in^2

Hence Medium pizza is 62.83 square inches greater than smaller pizza.

What is an equation of the line that passes through the point (3,6)(3,6) and is parallel to the line 4x-3y=214x−3y=21?
polet [3.4K]

<em><u>Question:</u></em>

What is an equation of the line that passes through the point (3,6) and is parallel to the line 4x-3y=21

<em><u>Answer:</u></em>

<em><u>The equation of the line that passes through the point (3,6) and is parallel to the line 4x-3y=21 is:</u></em>

y = \frac{4}{3}x + 2

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

Given that line passes through the point (3,6) and is parallel to the line 4x-3y=21

<em><u>The equation of line in slope intercept form is given as:</u></em>

y = mx + c ------- eqn 1

Where, "m" is the slope and "c" is the y intercept

<em><u>Given equation is:</u></em>

4x - 3y = 21

Rearrange,

3y = 4x - 21

y = \frac{4}{3}x - \frac{21}{3}\\\\y = \frac{4}{3}x - 7

On comparing above equation with eqn 1,

m = \frac{4}{3}

We know that slopes of parallel lines are same

Therefore, slope of line parallel to the line 4x - 3y = 21 is 4/3

<em><u>Substitute m = 4/3 and (x, y) = (3, 6) in eqn 1</u></em>

6 = \frac{4}{3} \times 3 + c\\\\6 = 4 + c\\\\c = 2

<em><u>Substitute c = 2 and m = 4/3 in eqn 1</u></em>

y = \frac{4}{3}x + 2

Thus the equation of line is found

Credit sales are collected as follows:65 percent in the month of the sale.25 percent in the month after the sale.10 percent in t
Vitek1552 [10]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

a) November sales = (Total Uncollected Sales - Uncollected Sales from December) / Collection rate after two months

= ($121,100 - $87,300) / 0.20

November sales = $169, 000.00

b) December sales = Uncollected sales from December / Collection rate of the previous month sales,

Therefore: December sales = $87,300 / 0.45 = $194,000

December sales = $194,000.00

c) Each month's collection for the company are:

Collections for ech month = 0.20(Sales from 2 months ago) + 0.25(Last month's sales) + 0.55 (Current sales)

January collections = 0.20($169000.00) + 0.25($194,000.00) + 0.55($132,000)

January collections = $154,900.00

February collections = 0.20($194,000.00) + 0.25($132,000) + 0.55($149,000)

February collections = $153,750.00

March collections = 0.20($132,000) + 0.25($149,000) + 0.55($164,000)

March collections = $153,850.00
