So we first group the like terms
3x + 8x + x - 13 + 10 = 72
We now make x the subject
3x + 8x + x = 72 + 13 -10
Evaluate
12x = 75
x = 75/12
x = 6.25

What is the perimeter of the right triangle with legs (2x + 1) feet and (4x - 4) feet and hypotenuse (4x - 1) feet? Give your an
konstantin123 [22]

Answer:

10x-4 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

The perimeter is the amount of the sides together so add the three sides together

2x+1+4x-4+4x-1

Combine like terms

10x-4

(You can also factor out 2 but that would not be simplest --> 2(5x-2))

It's called a difference.

When you're subtracting one quantity from another, the answer is known as the difference.

There's a different name depending on the symbol.

In multiplication, it's the product.

What is the solution to the following system of equations?
-Dominant- [34]

Answer:

D. (2,1)

Step-by-step explanation:

Fill in the value for y from the first eq (6x-11) into the second:

-2x - 3(6x-11) = -7

Now simplify:

-2x -18x + 33 = -7

-20x = -7-33

20x = 40

x = 2

Now that we have x, plug it into the top eq to get y:

y = 6*2 - 11 = 1

Et voila, x=2 and y=1, so the solution is (2,1).
