The formula you would use would be V=(3.14)r^2height

The vol. of a cylinder of radius r and height h is V = pi*r^2*h.

Here, V = pi(2 inches)^2 * (9 inches)= 4*pi * 9 cubic inches.

You can write this as 36pi cubic inches, or use 3.14 for pi and come out with 113.10 cubic inches.

2x - 6 = 18
2x = 18 + 6 (24)
2x = 24
x = 12

<span>3x + 9 = 2x + 24
3x + 9 = 2x + 24 - 9 (2x + 15)
3x = 2x + 15
3x - 2x = 15
x = 15

<span>5x + 4 = 24
5x = 24 - 4 (20)
5x = 20
x = 4

</span><span>2x / 3 = 4
2x = 4 * 3 (12)
x = 6

</span><span>3(x + 7) = 51
3x + 21 = 51
3x = 51 - 21 (30)
3x = 30
x = 10

the doctor recommended that Matt increase the number of calories you consume from 2000 to 2800 by what percent did the number of
nikdorinn [45]

Answer:

40% number of calories have increased

Step-by-step explanation:

Old Value ( Calories consume before)  = 2000

New Value (increase in Calories consumed) = 2800

We need to find by what percent did the number of calories increase

To find percent increase, the formula used is:

Percent\: increase=\frac{New\:Value-Old\:Value}{Old\:Value}\times 100%

Putting values in formula and finding percent increase

Percent\: increase=\frac{New\:Value-Old\:Value}{Old\:Value}\times 100\%\:\\Percent\: increase=\frac{2800-2000}{2000}\times 100\%\: \\Percent\: increase=\frac{800}{2000}\times 100\%\: \\Percent\: increase=0.4\times 100\%\: \\Percent\: increase=40\%

So, 40% number of calories have increased
