pense of $1.75 per mile driven for gas and maintenance. On one particular day, the driver drove an average of 40 miles per hour and Luke's total expenses for the driver, gas and truck maintenance were $522. Write a system of equations that could be used to determine the number of hours the driver worked and the number of miles the truck drove. Define the variables that you use to write the system.

When you write out decimals, you use words that end with 'ths'. And you use the smallest digit's place to name the whole decimal. 

For example,

.1 = one-tenths  .25= twenty hundreths .345= three hundred and forty five thousandths

9.753= Nine and seven hundred fifty-three thousandths.
