A geothermal plant takes in heat and creates electricity from it.

The disadvantages of Geothermal Plants  are:

  1. It leads to the release of greenhouse gases such as ammonia, Carbon Di Oxide etc which can contribute to global warming
  2. Installing a Geothermal plant in a protected forest land may also affect the flora and fauna because it comes with the problem of foul odour, soil erosion, in some cases, gas leakage.
