The answer is 79! This is because -9^6 is -81, so -81 plus two would be 79.

It is 83 because when you plug in for x you must use ( ) so it’s (-9)^2 and that is 81. Plus 81 + 2 = 83... the first answer was a simple mistake

Triangles R S T and V U T are connected at point T. Angles R S T and V U T are right angles. The length of side R S is 12 and th
kkurt [141]

Answer:

  \dfrac{\overline{RS}}{\overline{VU}}=\dfrac{\overline{ST}}{\overline{UT}}\quad\text{and}\quad\angle S\cong\angle U

Step-by-step explanation:

To use the SAS similarity theorem, you must show proportionality between corresponding sides, and congruence of the angle between them.

The answer shown above is the only answer choice that mentions an angle.

__

<em>Comment on other choices</em>

Choice B shows the three sides are proportional, so would be useful if the SSS similarity theorem were to be invoked. It isn't helpful for the using the SAS similarity theorem.

Choices C and D get the proportion statements wrong.

Explain what the following correlation tell you about two sets of data
Nata [24]

Answer:

a.   r = 0.4. The correlation is positive. It's a weak association

b.   r = -0.96 The correlation is negative. It is a very strong association

c.   r = -0.02 The correlation is negative. It is a very weak association

d.  r = 1. The correlation is positive. It's a perfect association

e.   r = 0.86. The correlation is positive. It is a very strong association

Step-by-step explanation:

r is known as Pearson's linear correlation coefficient measures how strong the correlation between two variables is.

0 It is a positive correlation

A positive correlation means that when the variable x increases the variable y also increases.

-1\leq r It is a negative correlation

A positive correlation means that when the variable x increases the variable y decreases.

r = 0 means there is no correlation between the variables.

a.   r = 0.4. The correlation is positive. It's a weak association

b.   r = -0.96 The correlation is negative. It is a very strong association

c.   r = -0.02 The correlation is negative. It is a very weak association

d.   r = 1. The correlation is positive. It's a perfect association

e.   r = 0.86. The correlation is positive. It is a very strong association

Find the equation of the line passing through the point (1, 7) with a slope of -2.
Mariulka [41]

Answer:

y=-2x+9

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The equation of a line in point slope form is equal to

y-y1=m(x-x1)

In this problem we have

(x1,y1)=(1,7)\\m=-2

substitute

y-7=-2(x-1)

Convert to slope intercept form

y=mx+b

y-7=-2x+2

y=-2x+2+7

y=-2x+9
