The Earth takes a year to orbit around the Sun. What about the Moon?

Answer

C. The Moon orbits the Earth about once a month

Over billions of years the earth’s gravitational field has tidally locked the moon in orbit so that its rotation about its axis is the same as that of its orbit around the earth.

This process is still continuing as the earth transfers some of its angular momentum to the moon lifting it to a higher orbit by a couple of centimeters a year. As it rises, its takes a fraction longer to complete an orbit, and its rotational speed slows down slightly to match.

The eventual conclusion of this is that the earth also would become tidally locked to the moon, and they will both face each other permanently. But this is going to take that long that the sun will probably have destroyed both the earth and the moon in its red giant phase before this happens.

Hope this helps!\

A because the sun and the moon orbits the earth at the same time that’s how some of us get the moon and the sun at different times because the moon and sun are spaced out so the moon and suns appearances are separated also

Will give brainliest to whoever helps me PLEASE
Anna35 [415]

Answer:

DNA to DNA: A, T, C, G

DNA to RNA: A, U, C, G

Explanation:

Replication is the process by which a double-stranded DNA molecule is copied to produce two identical DNA molecules. In this process, adenine (A) pairs with thymine (T), while cytosine (C) pairs with guanine (G).

Transcription involves copying a gene's DNA sequence to make an RNA molecule. Transcription is performed by enzymes called RNA polymerases, which link nucleotides to form an RNA strand. In this strand, adenine (A) pairs with uracil (U) instead of thymine, but thymine (T) still pairs with adenine (A). Cytosine (C) and guanine (G) still pair to each other.

Does this make sense? Feel free to comment any other questions!! If this was a good explanation, please consider giving me a good rating and/or brainliest!!

In homo sapiens the first word refers to which taxonomical grouping Genus.

Taxonomy is the science for the naming, describing and also classifying the organisms that includes all plants, animals and the microorganisms of the world.

Today is the 290th anniversary of the birth of the Carolus Linnaeus, the Swedish botanical taxonomist who was first person to formulate and the adhere to a uniform system for the defining and naming the world's plants and the animals.

The purpose of the taxonomy is to categorize the organisms based on their common characteristics and for the descent. The main aim of taxonomy is to identify, the characterise, classify and to give the specific names to all of the living organisms according to their main characteristics
