You know all the angles in the triangle 30°, 60°, and 90°. To find the missing sides we will use:

Sin\frac{opposite}{hypotenuse} Cos\frac{adjacent}{hypotenuse} Tan\frac{opposite}{adjacent} or S\frac{O}{H} C\frac{A}{H} T\frac{O}{A}

sin 60° = \frac{O}{H}

sin 60° = \frac{x}{8\sqrt{3}}

8√3(sin 60°) = x

8√3(\frac{\sqrt{3} }{2}) = x

12 = x

cos 60° = \frac{A}{H}

cos 60° = \frac{y}{8\sqrt{3} }

8√3(cos 60°) = y

8√3(\frac{1}{2}) = y

4√3 = y

By substitution.
Get y or x alone then insert it into the other equation solving for one of the two variables. After that substitute ur answer into one of the equations then solve.

Please can someone help? As i'm not confident this is right for factorising 4b^2 + 8b + 3
SIZIF [17.4K]

Answer:

your answer is correct

Step-by-step explanation:

4b² + 8b + 3

Consider the factors of the product of the coefficient of the b² term and the constant term which sum to give the coefficient of the b- term.

product = 4 × 3 = 12 and sum = + 8

The factors are 2 and 6

Use these factors to split the b- term

4b² + 2b + 6b + 3 ( factor the first/second and third/fourth terms )

= 2b(2b + 1) + 3(2b + 1) ← factor out (2b + 1) from each term

= (2b + 1)(2b + 3)
