How far is the nearest hundredth of an inch does each corner of the burger stick out from a bun
nadya68 [22]

Bread:
                 Area = π R²

                16 in² = π R²

                R² = 16 in² / π

             The radius of the bun = √(16 in² / π)  =  2.257 inches

-- The meat :
               Area = side²

               16 in² = side²

               Side =  √16 in²  =  4 inches

               Diagonal of the square = 4 √2  =  5.657 inches

               1/2 of the burgerdiagonal = 2.828 inches .

If the meat is centered on the bun, then the corner of the burger
extends

           (2.828 - 2.257)  =  0.57 inch

rounded to the nearest hundredth inch.

If you were to solve following system by substitution what would be the best variable to solve for and from what equation? 2x+6y
Deffense [45]
This is an odd question because it's a little subjective, but, for me, I would choose x from the second equation because you could simply add 12y to both sides, then divide by 3. It has the added benefit of not having any decimals/fractions, or negative values, which would be nice for substitution.
