This is usually happened when the farmer has used his power to work and at last lost all what is suppose to be the harvest to pest, thieves or left rotten due to unavailability of means of transportation from the farm to the market or due to bad road. And at times it might be because there is no place to store the farm produce.

In this case, the best ways to help such farmers is to put reforms in place. This include

* Making loans available to such farmers

* Building of good roads from the farm settlement to the market.

* Government should be buying their produce from them.

* Subsidizing the chemicals and farm implement they will be using on the farm.
