Hii:) the last 2 paragraphs are confusing, I thought mass doesn’t change?

Answer:

It's true that mass doesn't change

but because of difference in gravitational force on earth and moon, the scale used for weighing weight gives different reading. If we use the scale used for measuring the mass then the reading will be same. I think this was confusing you
