Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

(a+b)^2=a^(2)+2ab+b^(2)

(a-b)^2=a^(2)-2ab+b^(2)

13)

(x+2)^(2)-(x-1)^2

x^(2)+4x+4-(x^(2)-2x+1)

x^(2)+4x+4-x^(2)+2x-1

6x+3

15)

(x+5)^(2)-(x+1)^2

x^(2)+10x+25-(x^(2)+2x+1)

x^(2)+10x+25-x^(2)-2x-1

8x+24

The coordinate plane below represents a city. Points A through F are schools in the city.
astra-53 [7]
Part A:
a system of inequalities that only contain points D and E in the overlapping shaded regions is
5y + 2x > 12
2y - x < 12

Part B:
To verify that points D and E are solutions to the system of inequalities, we plug in the coordinate points of points D and E into the system of ineaqualities.

Part C:
To identify the schools that Timothy is allowed to attend we plug in the coordinate values of the points to see which satisfies the inequality y < 3x - 3. Thus Timothy is allowed to attend schools C and F.

.

y = x2 + 3
y = x + 5
ddd [48]
I assume you mean x squared in the first equation

Because both are equal to y, they are equal to each other so x + 5 = x^2 +3
If we then move everything over to one side, we get x^2 - x - 2 = 0

Then factorise it to (x-2)(x+1) = 0
And solve both parts separately

x + 1 = 0
x = -1

x-2 = 0
x = 2

Sub both values into the simplest equation in this case y=x+5
to get y = 4 and y = 7

Which of the following best describes the perpendicular lines?
AysviL [449]

Answer:

A perpendicular line is a line that meets a 90 degree angle.

Step-by-step explanation:

Think of the letter L

the top stick of the letter is perpendicular to the bottom stick and it makes a 90 degree angle.

Thats the best way I can explain it.

Hope this helps and please mark me brainliest if it did :)
