Sarah cannot completely remember her four-digit ATM pin number. She does remember the first two digits, and she knows that each
OLga [1]

Answer:

3/16 or 0.1875

Step-by-step explanation:

Since she remembers the first two digits, she only has to guess the last two digits. If both digits are greater than 5, there are 4 possible alternatives for each digit (6, 7, 8 or 9).

In three tries, the probability that she will get it right is:

P=\frac{3}{4*4}\\P=\frac{3}{16}=0.1875

The probability she will get access to her account is 3/16 or 0.1875.

What is x-3< 1 in interval notation
Serga [27]
(-∞,4). All I did was isolated x, and it says that x has to be less than 4. That means anything before 4 is fair game. Since the problem said that it can't be equal to 4 (as it would have had to have a line under the less than symbol), I used parenthesis on the 4 side as opposed to hard brackets. The ∞ always requires parenthesis.

Which inequality best represents that ice cream at −5°C is cooler than ice cream at 4°C?
konstantin123 [22]
(<) this means less than
(>) this means greater than
So since the question doesnt say anything about -4°C we can automatically cross out A and B
They are both negative! but when you have a negative. Its going to be less than a positive
So this means 4°C is greater than -5°C
or in other words
D.) 4°C > -5°C
hope this helps!

An automobile went 84 miles on 6.5 gallons of gasoline. At this rate, how many gallons would be needed to travel 126 miles
luda_lava [24]

Answer:

10 gallons

Step-by-step explanation:

84 ÷ 6.5 =12.9(The unit rate.)

Seeing as one gallon can get you 12.9 miles;

126÷12.9=9.7

So the answers 9.7 gallons, but if you need to round, then 10 to get a whole number.
