Assuming that the change of volumen was done at constant pressure and the quantity of gas did not change, you use Charles' Law of gases, which is valid for ideal gases:

V / T = constant => V1 / T1 = V2 / T2 => V1 = [V2 / T2] * T1.

Now plug in the numbers ,where T1 and T2 have to be in absolute scale.

T1 = 38.1 + 273.15 K = 311.25K

T2 = 15.0 + 273.15 K = 288.15K

V1 = 4.5L * 311.25K / 288.15 K = 4.86L.

The stability of atomic nuclei seem to be related to the ratio of _____.
Andru [333]
Neutrons to protons. Neutrons and protons are tiny particles that are within the nucleus. Neutrons and protons make up the nucleus of the cell and the ratio of neutrons determine the stability of the atomic nuclei. The nucleus will become unstable if the ratio of neutrons to protons are not within the appropriate amount.

80.0 mL of 0.30 M NaOH and 80.0 mL of 0.30 M HCl are mixed together. What is the approximate pH
Licemer1 [7]

Answer:

 • Neutral

Explanation:

The number of moles of solute is equal to product of the molar concentration (molarity) and the volume (in liters) of solution.

Since the volumes and the molar concentrations of the NaOH and HCl solutions mixed are equal, each one of them contributes the same number of moles of solute.

Since every mol of NaOH produces one mol of OH⁻ ions and every mol of HCl produces one mol of H⁺ ion, the number of moles of OH ⁻ and H⁺ in solution are equal.

Thus, OH⁻ and H⁺ ions will be neutralized by the reaction:

 • OH⁻ (aq) + H⁺ (aq) ⇄ H₂O (l)

Which is strongly shifted to the right and has neutral pH.

Hence, you conclude that the approximate pH of the solution is neutral.
