Answer: A) 20.9 ; B) 34years

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the following :

AGE (X) - - - - - - - 19 - -20 - - - 21 - - - 22 - - - 23

FREQUENCY (F) - 2 - - 3 - - - - 1 - - - - 4 - - - - 1

A)

MEAN(X) = [AGE(X) × FREQUENCY (F)] ÷ SUM OF FREQUENCY

F*X = [(19 * 2) + (20 * 3) + ( 21 * 1)+(22 * 4)+(23 * 1)]

= 38 + 60 +21 + 88 + 23 = 230

SUM OF FREQUENCY = 2 + 3 + 1 + 4 + 1= 11

MEAN(X) = 230 / 11

X = 20.9

B)

WHEN A NEW PLAYER WAS ADDED :

MEAN (X) = 22

Let age of new player = y

Sum of Ages = 19 + 19 +20 + 20 + 20 + 21 + 22 + 22 + 22 + 22 + 23 + y

Number of players = 11 + 1 = 12

Mean(x) = sum of ages / number of players

New mean (x) = 22

x = (230 + y) / 12

22 = (230 + y) / 12

Cross multiply

264 = 230 + y

y = 264 - 230

y = 34 years

What is the 4th term in the sequence? <br><br> C(1)=56<br> C(n)= c(n-1)•1/2
Anton [14]

Answer:

The 4th term is 7

Step-by-step explanation:

we have

C(n)=C(n-1)\frac{1}{2}

C(1)=56

step 1

Find C(2)

For n=2

C(2)=C(1)\frac{1}{2}

C(2)=(56)\frac{1}{2}=28

step 2

Find C(3)

For n=3

C(3)=C(2)\frac{1}{2}

C(3)=(28)\frac{1}{2}=14

step 3

Find C(4)

For n=4

C(4)=C(3)\frac{1}{2}

C(4)=(14)\frac{1}{2}=7

therefore

The 4th term is 7

I need help with these two questions
Mandarinka [93]

Answer:

(-2,-2)

Step-by-step explanation:

for question number 15...cordinated grid shows each equation...first equation is represented by straight line going upwards through +4 in y axis...(y=3x+4)...

point is....every point in this two lines represent a possible x and y value for each equation...and there is a point where these lines meet each other....in that point...x and y values are possible values for both equations.so answer is (-2,-2)...this cordination satisfy each pairs of equation...you can try using -2 for x in both equations and get -2 as the answer for y...that proves the point..try it for 16 quiz.good luck
