Answer:3W

If it takes an amount of work W to move two q point charges from infinity to a distance d apart from each other, then how much work should it take to move three q point charges from infinity to a distance d apart from each other?

A) 2W

B) 3W

C) 4W

D) 6W

Explanation: calculating work done,W, in moving two positive q point charges from infinity to a valued distance d from each other  is

W = k(+q)(+q)/ d

k is couloumb's constant

work done in moving 3 equal positive charges from infinity to a finite distance is given by

W₂=W₄=W₆=k(+q)(+q)/ d

Total work done, W' =k(+q)(+q)/ d + k(+q)(+q)/ d + k(+q)(+q)/ d

= W + W + W = 3W

Why does a mirror get misty after a shower??
masha68 [24]
This is because warm water vapor, suspended in the air, transforms back into water droplets as it cools. These small droplets collect on surrounding surfaces and are especially noticeable on materials such as glass since they distort light waves, making the mirror and windows appear foggy or misty

What is the potential energy of a 2,000-kg car parked at the top of a 30-m hill?
babymother [125]
Potential energy is a relative measure, so the answer is dependent on the assumptions we make. The potential energy in the car is going to be gravitational potential energy(PE). PE = mgh, where m is the mass, g is 9.8 m/s^2, and h is the height. So PE = 2000*9.8*h = 19600h. The final answer obviously depends on h. Most likely the problem is assuming that 30 meters under the top of the hill is considered 0 meters. Then h would be 30m and PE would equal 588 kJ.
