Answer:

8 neutrons and 6 electrons

Explanation:

Mass number= neutrons + protons

14=x+6

x=14-6

x=8

protons=electrons

6 protons=6 electrons

The bottom of a box has a surface area of 25.0 cm 2 . The mass of the box is 34.0 kilograms. Acceleration due to gravity at sea
Viktor [21]
Pressure given by:
Pressure=(force)/(area)
Force=Mass*gravitational pull
Mass=34Kg
gravity=9.80

so,
force=34*9.8=333.2
thus;
pressure=333.2/25=13.328=13.3 N/cm^2

Hope this helped :)

rodikova [14]

Answer:

Z=22.70

Explanation:

It is given that,

An element Z that has two naturally occurring isotopes with the following percent abundances as follows :

The isotope with a mass number 22 is 65.0% abundant; the isotope with a mass number 24 is 35.0% abundant.

The average atomic mass for element Z is given by :

Z=\dfrac{22\times 65+24\times 35}{100}\\\\Z=22.7

So, the average atomic mass for element Z is 22.70.

Using the potential given below, calculate the activity of cl^- in 1M KCl solution.
MissTica

Answer:

Explanation:

E° (calomel electrode) = 0.268 v

E( calomel electrode, 1M KCl) = 0.280 v

For calomel electrode

E = E^0 _( Hg^+/Hg ) - \frac{.059}{2} \times log( a_{cl^-} )^2

.280 = .268 - \frac{.059}{2} \times log( a_{cl^-} )^2

.012=  - \frac{.059}{2} \times log( a_{cl^-} )^2

log( a_{cl^-})^2= - .4067

a_{cl^-_}  = 0.626 .
