When does the chunk of ice have the most potential energy?

Biology

An enormous rift in one of Antarctica’s largest ice shelves grew dramatically over the past month, and a chunk nearly the size of Delaware could break away as soon as later this winter, British scientists reported this week.

If this happens, it could accelerate a further breakup of the ice shelf, essentially removing a massive cork of ice that keeps some of Antarctica’s glaciers from flowing into the ocean.

To construct a mapping cross of linked genes, it is important that the genotypes of some of the gametes produced by the heterozy
FrozenT [24]

Answer:

False.

Explanation:

Linked genes are the genes that are present on the same chromosome and can undergo the process the recombination. The recombinant progeny are obtained by the crossing of the linked genes.

The recombinant frequency and map distance can be deduced by the mapping of the linked genes. The genotype of the heterozygote cannot be deduced by examining phenotype and sometimes the recombinant progeny is completely different from the parents as well as from the heterozygotes.

Thus, the correct answer is false.

Reptile [31]

Answer:

Budding is a type of asexual reproduction in which a new organism develops from an outgrowth or bud due to cell division at one particular site. ... Since the reproduction is asexual, the newly created organism is a clone and excepting mutations is genetically identical to the parent organism.
