I really REALLY need the work for these 5 math problems, I can't wrap my brain around how to understand how to do this still and

I have a big test soon :')
1. x + 4 = 2x -6
2. 4(6x + 3) = 2 (4x - 2)
3. 2x + 5 = 21
4. 4(x + 6) - 11 = 25
5. 5(3x + 4) = 2(5x + 7)

Answer:

1.. x = 10

2.x = -1

3. x = 8

4. x = 3

5. x = - 6/5

Step-by-step explanation:

1.

Move terms

x - 2x + 4 = -6

x - 2x = -6 -6

-x = -6 -4

-x = -10;

x = 10;

2.

24x + 12 = 8x -4

24x - 8x = -4 - 12

16x = -16

x = -1

3.

2x = 21-5

2x = 16

x = 8

4.

4x + 24 - 11 = 25

4x + 13 = 25

4x = 25 - 13

4x = 12

x = 3

5.

15x + 20 = 2(5x + 7)

15x + 20 = 10x + 14

15x - 10x = 14 - 20

5x = -5

x = - 6/5

What would be the equation of the cannonball’s path if it was launched with the same velocity, but from the ground instead?
natita [175]

The quadratic equation cannonball’s path if it was launched with the same velocity, but from the ground instead would be given by:

h(t) = -4.9t^2 + 19.8t

What is the quadratic equation for the height of a projectile?

Considering the gravity, it is modeled by:

h(t) = -4.9t^2 + v_0t + h_0

In which:

 • v_0 is the initial velocity.
 • h_0 is the initial height.

For this problem, we want:

 • The same initial velocity, hence v_0 = 19.8.
 • Launched from the ground, hence h_0 = 0.

Then, the equation is:

h(t) = -4.9t^2 + 19.8t

Someone please solve x for me please
Eva8 [605]

Answer:

x = 40

Step-by-step explanation:

50 + 150 + 2x + x + x

200 + 4x

360 - 200 = 160

160 / 4 = 40

x = 40

50 + 80 + 40 + 150 + 40

Vita has a pice of rope that is 5 meters long. She cuts the rope into pieces that are each 1/3 meter long. How many pieces does
sp2606 [1]
Normally you would divide something like this by the cuts made. So if there were cuts of 2 inches on a 10 inch rope, then you should divide 10 by 2. It's the same with this:
5/ \frac{1}{3} = 5*3, 15 \ pieces
Multiply by the reciprocal when you are dividing fractions.
