Brandon solved the following division problem: Mrs Stokes is taking the fourth
Yuki888 [10]

Answer:

10, he should round the quotient up by 1 because of the remainder

Step-by-step explanation:

Brandon did all of the math work correctly, but you can't over crowd the bus with 13 people. The 10th bus will not be filled to capacity but it would be enough for the 4 remaining fourth graders.

Kia stuffs 228 envelopes in an hour. What is the average number of envelopes Kia stuffs per minute?
stich3 [128]
Well, you already know how much she stuff per hour, but you still need to find out how much per minute. And in one hour, there are 60 minutes.

So you divide the amount in an hour by 60 minutes, meaning you divide  : 228 ÷ 60 = ?

And once divided, you get 3.8. So that would mean that she stuffs 3.8 envelopes per one minute, so that means nearly 4, but since you aren't asked to round, I'd say to just go for the average rate, which is 3.8

(MUST SHOW WORKING)
myrzilka [38]
First of all, keep in mind :
m --> cm = times by 100
cm --> mm = times by 10
mm --> cm = divide by 10
cm --> m = divide by 100

so we know that a square has 4 equal sides and to find the area of a square we do base*height. now these two numbers on the base and height are the same so we're basically squaring them to get the area of 81. therefore, we do the reverse so square root 81 and we get the answer 9cm

now let's convert 9cm to mm
= 9*10 = 90
area in mm = 90mm

now let's convert 9cm to meters
= 9/100=0.09
area in m = 0.09m

and finally, we already worked out the area in cm
= 9cm

hope this helped :)
