7 0

Answer:

2, 1, 2,1

Explanation:

The chemical equation of the reaction given in this question is as follows:

AgNO3 + CuCl2 → AgCl + Cu(NO3)2

The reaction is between silver nitrate (AgNO3) and copper (I) chloride (CuCl2) to form silver chloride (AgCl) and copper nitrate (Cu(NO3)2.

However, this above equation is not BALANCED because the number of atoms of each element on both sides of the equation does not equate i.e. are not the same. To balance the equation, we have to make use of COEFFICIENTS, which are numbers used in front of each element in order to balance the equation.

The balanced equation is as follows:

2AgNO3 + CuCl2 → 2AgCl + Cu(NO3)2

From the above balanced equation, we can observe that coefficients used to balance the equation is in the order: 2, 1, 2,1

Dafna1 [17]

Answer:

Empirical formula is C3H3O

Molecular formula C9H9O3

Explanation:

From the question given, we obtained the following data:

Carbon = 63.15%

Hydrogen = 5.30%

Oxygen = 31.55%

We can obtain the empirical and molecular formula by doing the following as illustrated in the attached file. Please see attachment for explanation.

Calculate the enthalpy change for the reaction:
irina [24]
Ans : When looking at the second equation, we see it is double the first reaction and in the opposite direction. First, change the direction of the first equation. When the direction of the reaction is changed, the sign on ΔH changes for the reaction H2O2(l) → H2O(l) + 1/2 O2(g); ΔH = -98.2 kJ becomes H2O(l) + 1/2 O2(g) → H2O2(l); ΔH = +98.2 kJ Second, multiply this reaction by 2. When multiplying a reaction by a constant, the ΔH is multiplied by the same constant. 2 H2O(l) + O2(g) → 2 H2O2(l); ΔH = +196.4 kJ ANSWER: ΔH = +196.4 kJ for the reaction: 2 H2O(l) + O2(g) → 2 H2O2(l)
