For the scatter plot on homework:

a) The relationship is that the test score will increase, if the time spent on homework increases.

b) The function is y=8x+40, and what we need to see is what the score will be if someone puts in 3 hours of homework, x=3 in this because it means the time spent on homework:

y=8(3)+40

y=24+40

y=64

c) The score would be 40% if no time was spent doing homework.

For the scatter plot on the rides:

a) y = -7/5x + 17.8

b) Anika worked 17.8 hours on Day 0

c) Decreased by 7/5 in a day.

Hope this helps, have a BLESSED AND WONDERFUL DAY! As well as a great Superbowl Weekend! :-)

bonufazy [111]

Answer:

y = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

\frac{2y-1}{15} = \frac{y}{10} ( cross- multiply )

10(2y - 1) = 15y ← distribute left side

20y - 10 = 15y ( subtract 15y from both sides )

5y - 10 = 0 ( add 10 to both sides )

5y = 10 ( divide both sides by 5 )

y = 2

Daniel wrote the following two-column proof for the given information.
Pavel [41]

The information given about the proof does that Daniel made an error on line 2.

How to illustrate the information?

Given:

1. AB = 3x +2;  BC = 4x + 8;  AC = 38

2. AB + BC = AC incorrect (not an angle angle addition postulate)

3. 3x+2 + 4x + 8 = 38         correct

4. 7x + 10 = 38                    correct

5. 7x = 28                           correct

6. x = 4

Daniel made an error on line 2.

Here is the complete question:

Daniel wrote the following two-column proof for the given information. Given: AB = 3x + 2; BC = 4x + 8; AC = 38 Prove: x = 4 Statements Reason 1. AB = 3x + 2; BC = 4x + 8; AC = 38 1. Given 2. AB + BC = AC 2. Angle Addition Postulate 3. 3x + 2 + 4x + 8 = 38 3. Substitution Property of Equality 4. 7x + 10 = 38 4. Combining Like Terms 5. 7x = 28 5.
