Answer:

I2 + 2S2O3^2- --------> S4O6^2- + 2I^-

Explanation:

The correct equation is;

2Na2S2O3 + I2 → Na2S4O6 + 2NaI

Oxidation half equation;

2S2O3^2- --------> S4O6^2- + 2e-

Reduction half equation;

I2 + 2e ----------> 2I^-

Overall balanced redox reaction equation;

I2 + 2S2O3^2- --------> S4O6^2- + 2I^-

Why does poop turn blue after you bleach it
Llana [10]

Enzymes and activators in the poop might cause the bleach to decompose quickly, releasing chlorine gas. Otherwise, it would have the effect making your toilet smell like a swimming pool, which might be a worthwhile improvement.

Which of the following are most likely to form a metallic bond?
victus00 [196]
I think the correct answer from the choices listed above is the first option. It would be several gold atoms that will form <span>a metallic bond. It is the most logical choice since it is a metal while the others are nonmetal and a combination of metal and nonmetal. Hope this answers the question. Have a nice day.</span>

How could you interpret the events taking place on a molecular level in the images seen here? A) Kinetic energy decreases from l
MaRussiya [10]

i believe the answer is, b. heat energy is continuously added at each step. As energy is added, the molecular motion/kinetic energy increases, and matter changes state. In the last state, plasma, enough energy has been added to cause the atoms to disassociate into ions.

hope this is right! :33

The rate of diffusion of gas A is double the rate of gas B. The ratio of their molecular weight is
Dafna1 [17]

Answer:

Ratio is 4:1

Explanation:

from graham's law of gaseous diffusion:

{ \bf{ \frac{R _{A} }{R_{B} }  =  \sqrt{ \frac{M_{A} }{M_{B}} } }}

but Ra = 2Rb:

{ \sf{ (\frac{2}{1} ) {}^{2}   =  \frac{M _{A}}{M _{B} }   }} \\  \\ { \sf{\frac{M _{A}}{M _{B} } =  \frac{4}{1} }} \\  \\ {M _{A}} : {M _{B} } = 4 :1

Calculate the pH of a solution that is 0.113 M HCI.
Alex Ar [27]

Simplified concentration

\\ \rm\Rrightarrow 1.13\times 10^{-2}M

Now

\\ \rm\Rrightarrow pH=-log[H^+]

\\ \rm\Rrightarrow pH=-log(1.13\times 10^{-2})

\\ \rm\Rrightarrow pH=-log1.13-log10^{-2}

\\ \rm\Rrightarrow pH=-0.05+2

\\ \rm\Rrightarrow pH=1.95

Highly acidic
