Blood circulating from the left side of the heart to body tissues and back to the heart is travelling in the blood vessels.
Indeed, the oxygenated blood goes from the heart to the body tissues through the blood vessel with different diameters:
Aorta: is the big artery which came out from the heart.
Artery, and arterioles: which have a shorter diameter
Capillaries: which has the shortest diameter, this is where nutrient and oxygen are distributed.
Then the blood goes back to the heart by venules, veins, and vena cava.

All the bold words are blood vessels

The answer is A, denature.

As each type of enzymes has its own optimum temperature, like the temperature that they work fastest at, so if the temperature goes too high above the optimum, the 3D structure of the enzyme breaks apart and deforms and they can no longer bind with substrates thus no longer works. In this scenario, we say the enzyme is denatured.

Note that only if the temperature is too high can make the enzyme denature, if the temperature is too low, instead, the enzyme would be inactive, but once the temperature goes back to normal, they work again. Unlike denatured enzymes, which does not work even if the temperature goes back to normal.

Two true-breeding stocks of pea plants are crossed. One parent has red, axial flowers and the other has white, terminal flowers;
NARA [144]

Answer:

3/16

Explanation:

Two true-breeding stocks of pea plants are crossed. One parent has red RR, axial flowers AA and the other has white rr, terminal flowers aa

Parent cross RRAA x rraa

Gamete: RA x ra

F1 gen. RrAa

Selfing of F1. RrAa x RrAa

F2 offspring

Rr x Rr Aa x Aa

RR Rr rr AA Aa aa

3/4 red 1/4 white 3/4 axial 1/4terminal

Probability of plants with white axial flowers is 1/4*3/4 = 3/16

When wind creates a sand dune, the sheltered side of the dune _____.
alukav5142 [94]

Answer:

is more steeply sloped than the windward side

Explanation:

The wind is the primary agent that moves the sediments and creates sand dunes in the deserts. When the wind starts to slow down it loses its power to carry the sediments so it starts to deposit them. As it does, a hill of sand is starting to form, called a sand dune. The wind will constantly be bringing new sediments, and the windward side is the one that gets them, while the leeward side doesn't. This results in the windward side to be much larger, but also to have much lower angle of fall, while the leeward side is having a very steep slope as it is constantly building on the top, but not the rest of it.

Part A: Research a Forest
Andrews [41]

Answer: I chose rainforest

A rainforest is an area of tall, mostly evergreen trees and a high amount of rainfall. Mean temperatures in tropical rainforest regions are between 20 and 29 °C (68 and 84 °F), and in no month is the mean temperature below 18 °C (64 °F). The main animals are monkeys, Blue Morpho Butterfly, Okapi, Three-Toed Sloth, Jaguar, Capybara, Toucan, and Poison Dart Frog. The main plants are ferns, lichens, mosses, orchids, bromeliads, and of course many types of trees. including the rubber tree. Deforestation is a particular concern in tropical rain forests because these forests are home to much of the world's biodiversity. For example, in the Amazon around 17% of the forest has been lost in the last 50 years, mostly due to forest conversion for cattle ranching. The main cause of deforestation is agriculture (poorly planned infrastructure is emerging as a big threat too) and the main cause of forest degradation is illegal logging.

jonny [76]

Correct answer: A) bio-geographic isolation affects the random changes that take place within gene pools

The bio-geographic isolation of the species takes place when the geographical barrier work as a distinguishing agent. It takes place when the group of animals, plants and other creatures are not allowed to mate with each other.

The mixing of there genes within the same species is separated by the geographical barrier.

The barrier allows the mating of the species in a different way as compared to the previous one.
