The largest cause of climate change is animal agriculture, specifically cows because of all the methane they produce, so a great way to slow down climate change is encourage people to cut down their beef intake, perhaps stop eating it all together, or even better cut out meat entirely.

What is the final temperature when a 3.0 kg gold bar at 99 0C is dropped into 0.22 kg of water at 25oC?
liq [111]

Answer:

46.9 C

Explanation:

The heat released by the gold bar is equal to the heat absorbed by the water:

m_g C_g (T_g-T_f)=m_w C_w (T_f-T_w)

where:

m_g = 3.0 kg is the mass of the gold bar

C_g=129 J/kg C is the specific heat of gold

T_g=99 C is the initial temperature of the gold bar

m_w = 0.22 kg is the mass of the water

C_w=4186 J/kg C is the specific heat of water

T_w=25 C is the initial temperature of the water

T_f is the final temperature of both gold and water at equilibrium

We can re-arrange the formula and solve for T_f, so we find:

m_g C_g T_g -m_g C_g T_f = m_w C_w T_f - m_w C_w T_w\\m_g C_g T_g +m_w C_w T_w= m_w C_w T_f +m_g C_g T_f \\T_f=\frac{m_g C_g T_g +m_w C_w T_w}{m_w C_w + m_g C_g}=\\=\frac{(3.0)(129)(99)+(0.22)(4186)(25)}{(0.22)(4186)+(3.0)(129)}=\frac{38313+23023}{921+387}=\frac{61336}{1308}=46.9 C

In the circuit diagram, what does the symbol made of two Long lines and two short lines with a positive and a negative sign at e
Licemer1 [7]
That symbol represents a source of DC, usually a battery.

The zig-zag line represents a resistor, and the two little circles
connected by a short line represent a switch in the closed position.,

A guitar string is 90 cm long and has a mass of 3.5g . The distance from the bridge to the support post is L=62cm, and the strin
nataly862011 [7]

Answer:

v_1 =  301 Hz

v_2 =  601 \ \ Hz

v_3 =  901 \ Hz

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

     The  length of the string is  l = 90 \ cm  =  0.9 \ m

     The mass of the string is  m_s  =  3.5 \ g =0.0035 \ kg

     The  distance  from the bridge to the support post L =  62 \ c m  =  0.62 \ m

    The tension is T  =  540 \ N

Generally the frequency is mathematically represented as

        v  =  \frac{n}{2 * L }  [\sqrt{ \frac{T}{\mu} } ]

Where n is and integer that defines that overtones

i.e  n =   1 is for fundamental frequency

      n =  2   first overtone

       n =3   second overtone

Also  \mu is the linear density of the string which is mathematically represented as

           \mu  =  \frac{m_s}{l}

=>        \mu  =  \frac{0.0035 }{ 0.9 }

=>       \mu  =  0.003889 \  kg/m

So for   n = 1

     v_1  =  \frac{1}{2 *  0.62 }  [\sqrt{ \frac{ 540}{0.003889} } ]

     v_1  = 301 \ Hz

So for  n =  2

     v_2  =  \frac{2}{2 *  0.62 }  [\sqrt{ \frac{ 540}{0.003889} } ]

     v_2  = 601 \ Hz

So for  n =  3

     v_3  =  \frac{3}{2 *  0.62 }  [\sqrt{ \frac{ 540}{0.003889} } ]

     v  =901  \ Hz
