Answer:

20 g of MgSO₄.

Explanation:

We'll begin by writing the balanced equation for the reaction. This is illustrated below:

Mg + H₂SO₄ —> MgSO₄ + H₂

Next, we shall determine the mass of Mg that reacted and the mass of MgSO₄ produced from the balanced equation. This is illustrated below:

Molar mass of Mg = 24 g/mol

Mass of Mg from the balanced equation = 1 × 24 = 24 g

Molar mass of MgSO₄ = 24 + 32 + (16×4)

= 24 + 32 + 64

= 120 g/mol

Mass of MgSO₄ from the balanced equation = 1 × 120 = 120 g

SUMMARY:

From the balanced equation above,

24 g of Mg reacted to produce 120 g of MgSO₄.

Finally, we shall determine the mass of MgSO₄ produced by the reaction of 4 g of Mg. This can be obtained as follow:

From the balanced equation above,

24 g of Mg reacted to produce 120 g of MgSO₄.

Therefore, 4 g of Mg will react to produce = (4 × 120)/24 = 20 g of MgSO₄.

Thus, 20 g of MgSO₄ is obtained from the reaction.

Help me guys please i need help
bearhunter [10]

Answer:

It helps microorganisms grow

Explanation:

I think this is the correct answer because I tried searching it up and you sterilise the petri dish before adding the agar, I've used agar in petri dishes a year ago and im pretty sure they don't make cells glow or make bacteria appear larger.

if I had to have a second guess I'd go with the first one but considering the fact that bacteria is usually to small to see with the naked eye the last option seems correct

What is the binding energy of a mole of nuclei with a mass defect of 0.00084 kg/mol?
Alik [6]

Answer:

The binding energy of a mole of the nuclei is 252KJ

Explanation:

The binding energy is the amount of energy required to separate an atom into its nuclei.

From Einstein's relations,

       E = Δmc^{2}

where E is the energy, Δm is the mass defect and c is the speed.

The mole of nuclei moves with the speed of light, so that;

  c = 3.0 × 10^{8} m/s

Given that Δm = 0.00084Kg/mol, the binding energy is calculated as;

       E = 0.00084 × 3.0 × 10^{8}

         = 252000

        = 252KJ

The binding energy of a mole of the nuclei is 252KJ.

2. Calculate how many moles of H2 would be produced if 0.250 mol of Fe reacts completely. (1 mark)
den301095 [7]

Hey there!:

Balanced Equation , for the reaction:

3 H₂SO₄(aq) + 2 Fe(s) → Fe₂(SO₄)₃(aq) + 3 H₂(g)

2 moles Fe ---------------------------------- 3 moles H₂

0.250 moles Fe ---------------------------- ( moles H₂ ) ??

____________________________________________

moles H₂ = 0.250 × 3 / 2

moles H₂ = 0.75 / 2

moles = 0.375 moles of H₂

Hope this helps!
