Answer:

x=0 and y=6

Step-by-step explanation:

First, you would solve x=y-6 for x.

x=y-6 so you substitute the x in -6x-2y=-12 with (y-6)

-6x-2y=-12 → -6(y-6)-2y=-12

Simplify both sides of the equation = -8y+36=-12

Add -36 to both sides to remove it = -8y+36+-36=-12+-36

-8y+36+-36=-12+-36 → -8y=-48

Divide both sides by -8 to remove it. \frac{-8y}{-8} =\frac{-48}{-8} → y=6

I believe where you went wrong was with where you substituted y-6.

y-6 is the substitute for x so in parenthesis you would put (y-6) where x is in -6x-2y=-12 making the new equation -6(y-6)-2y=-12.

Solve -3(h-6)=5(2h+3)
e-lub [12.9K]

Answer: 3/13

Step-by-step explanation:

-3 (h-6) = 5 (2h + 3)

-3h + 18 = 10h + 15

-3h - 10h + 15 - 18

h (-3-10) = 15 - 18

h (-13) = -3

h = -3/-13

How much bigger is the area of a circle with a radius of 5 cm than a circle with a radius of 3 cm?
Deffense [45]

Given:

 • Circle with radius 5cm and 3 cm

To Find:

 • How much bigger is the area of a circle.

Solution:

Area of circle with Radius 5cm

Area of circle = πr²

Area of circle = 22/7 × 5 × 5

Area of circle = 22/7 × 25

Area of circle = 78.54 cm²

Now,

Area of circle with Radius 3 cm

Area of circle = 22/7 × 3 × 3

Area of circle = 22/7 × 9

Area of circle = 28.27 cm²

= 78.54 - 28.27

= 50.27cm

Hence,

 • Area of circle is 50.27cm more than that area of circle with radius 3cm
