First take a scale and make a line down measuring up to 10 centimetres.

Then label one side as A and another one at the opposite as B.

Then measure 10cm at your compass while letting the point of the compass stay at point A.

Then letting it stay at A make a arc upward and another below.

Then put your compass at B again taking the same measurement of 10 cm.

Then putting the compass at point B make an arc to cross the previous arcs .

Then make a line between the center of two arcs making a perpendicular.

Point H is on line segment GI. Given GH = x + 6, HI = x + 5, and
Vaselesa [24]

Answer:

9

Step-by-step explanation:

If Point H is on line segment GI, then GH+HI = GI

Given the following parameters

GH = x + 6,

HI = x + 5, and

GI = 3x + 8

To determine the length of GH, we need to get the value of x first. To get x we will substitute the given parameters into the formula as shown;

x+6+(x+5) = 3x+8

2x+11 = 3x+8

collect like terms;

2x-3x = 8-11

-x = -3

divide both sides by -1;

-x/-1 = -3/-1

x = 3

Since GH = x+6

GH = 3+6

GH = 9

Hence the numerical length of GH is 9

1. Solve for x: - 2x + 5 < 7 (2 points)
Yakvenalex [24]

Answer:

X< -1

Step-by-step explanation:

If you subtract the 5 from the 7 leaves you with -2x< 2 and if you divide the negative 2 by both sides makes the -2 cancel itself out and leaves X< -1

A certain material decays at a rate 0.92% per year. How much of 260 grams of the material will be left in 11years ?
Dmitriy789 [7]
A= p (1-r)^t
A material after 11 years
P current amount 260
R rate of decreases 0.0092
T time 11 years

A=260×(1−0.0092)^(11)
A=234.87 round
A=235

Step-by-step explanation:

moving yellow

move the points to the left 10 spaces for x

move the points up 10 spaces for y

moving blue

move the points to the right 10 spaces for x

move the points down 10 spaces for y

Pavel [41]

Answer:

942

Step-by-step explanation :

so your d is 300 so your r = 300/2= 150

a=3.14*r*r= 3.14*150*150= 70650

c= 3.14*d= 3.14*300= 942

The curved surface area of solid cylinder is

As we are given that:

Diameter of solid cylinder = 8 cm

Length or Height o solid cylinder = 140 cm

Formula used to calculate the curved surface area of cylinder is:2n x h

Curved surface area of cylinder =2r x h

where,

r = radius of cylinder

h = height or length of cylinder

Radius of cylinder = daimeter

Now putting all the given values in above formula, we get:

Curved surface area of cylinder = 2x 22/7 x 140cm

Curved surface area of cylinder = 3520cm^{2}

Therefore, the curved surface area of solid cylinder is3520cm^{2}
